Redneck Water Park or Oversized Slip-n-Slide

What do you do when it is 100+ degrees outside and your parents don't want to drive to the local (45 minutes away) water park? Well, you build your own in the backyard!

Just pick up a couple of rolls of heavy duty plastic painter's drop cloth. Stretch out as far as possible, fold one side until it is 4 or 5 feet wide. Repeat with another drop cloth and then overlap each one by 2 or 3 feet to make your slide. Have one more a little wider for a landing pool at the bottom. Then you are ready to add water from a garden hose. A little dish washing soap (like Dawn) makes the slide extra slippery. And then run, dive and slide!!!

CRASH---Uncle Goes MUCH Faster!!
Splash Down!
My Turn!! You never know who has a concealed carry permit!!

This works quite well on flat to gentle sloping ground for the big kids. But the little guys need a hill to get going. The little ones run and plop down and lose most of their forward momentum.
